Libya leader, in Khartoum, thanks Sudan for weapons

Sudanese weapons and ammunition sent through Egypt aided Libya’s former rebels to take control of the North African country reported from the head of Libya’s interim ruling council. Mustafa Abdel Jalil, chairman of Libya’s National Transitional Council arrived on Friday in Khartoum on his first official visit. Jalil later stated at a conference of Sudan’s ruling National Congress Party; “If not for Sudanese military assistance, it would not have been possible to liberate Kufra. The weapons and ammunition which Sudan donated even reached the Western Mountains, by way of our sister Egypt.” Sudanese President Omar al- Bashir spoke out on a conference and mentioned the Libyan people have given people the greatest gift, liberation of Libya from Gaddafi and his organization.
