Somaliland Sends Humanitarian Aid to Somalia

MOGADISHU,SOMALIA- Somaliland, a breakaway nation from Somalia is providing humanitarian aid to drought stricken Somalia. Nine thousand drought stricken families from Mogadishu will be receiving a month supply of food and four hospitals will be receiving medication.

Before parting to Mogadishu, Mohamed Shurgi Jama, the representative for the Somaliland humanitarian aid delegation announced the collection of about $700,000 donated by the people and government of Somaliland to distribute among Mogadishu and the refugee camps in Dadaab, Kenya where many Somali refugees are located.
